CNN reports that a California court ruled that a nude yoga practitioner could do his thing in public in San Francisco
... even in the tourist-crowded Fisherman's Wharf area. What's important here is not that San Franciscans can now practice yoga with nothing but their mats, but that California has essentially stated that public nudity in of itself is not a crime.
This could lead to even more interesting court cases on public nudity, followed by challenges from conservatives and moralists. The outcome in California may determine whether this is the start of a national trend and yet another battle in the culture wars.
